1. Add ½ cup water, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1 teaspoon soap and scrub with a nylon scourer.
2. Let soak for about 3 minutes, rinse well and allow to dry completely.
3. With a paper towel, apply a few drops of the oil you use for cooking and rub it only on the griddle where the food goes.
4. Heat the griddle to medium temperature for 3 minutes, then turn off the flame and let it cool completely for 10 minutes.
5. Once cooled, you can clean the griddle with a paper towel to remove any residue and store it without rinsing. It is now ready for use. It only needs to be seasoned once before use.
